This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver remote support across various, multi-tenant settings.

• Address escalated incidents and intricate service requests.

• Execute advanced troubleshooting and implement necessary changes.

• Collaborate with other teams and act as an escalation point for engineers.

• Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the incident resolution process.

• Examine and document unfamiliar client server, workstation, and network environments.

• Provide support and troubleshoot a variety of computing environments for business clients.

• Conduct root-cause analysis on workstation, server, and network-level incidents.

• Utilize software utilities and vendor- or application-specific tools to resolve issues.

• Manage client expectations, provide updates, outline next steps, and assess urgency.

• Offer guidance on applications, best practices, and infrastructure standards.

• Develop, document, and assist in implementing client standards.

• Identify recurring issues and aid in establishing permanent resolutions via problem management and continuous improvement.

• Review client environments for adherence to security best practices and engage in change management.

• Oversee and manage escalated service tasks, which includes prioritization, documentation, and escalation.

• Provide escalated support, mentoring, and technical leadership to fellow engineers.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in IT support/operations, including experience with MSP or multi-tenant environments.

• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra, Exchange/M365 administration, Intune, and SharePoint.

• Proficiency in networking concepts, including Layer 2/3, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, NAT, and site-to-site VPNs.

• Experience with endpoint security, backup and disaster recovery, and patch management.

• Skilled in PowerShell scripting and automation techniques.

• Strong abilities in incident management, change control, and documentation.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, documentation, and time-management skills.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Willingness to work after hours or participate in on-call rotations as needed.

• Outstanding customer service skills.

• Optional willingness to visit nearby client sites when necessary.

• Preferred certifications: CompTIA Network+ / A+; Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102); ITIL v4 Foundation (modules).
