Senior System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage and provide support for designated infrastructure technologies to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance.

• Assess business and technical needs and create infrastructure solutions that align with organizational goals.

• Lead and assist with infrastructure projects, utilizing established project management methodologies.

• Design, implement, and uphold infrastructure architecture, standards, procedures, and documentation.

• Track infrastructure performance and carry out maintenance, upgrades, and remediation tasks.

• Review infrastructure processes and propose enhancements to boost efficiency, service quality, and cost-effectiveness.

• Prepare project estimates, resource needs, and cost analyses for strategic planning and decision-making.

• Work in collaboration with business leaders, vendors, and technical teams to deliver technology solutions and uphold service commitments.

• Offer technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to team members and stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to organizational standards, security protocols, governance frameworks, and business continuity measures.

• Maintain availability via mobile services during off-hours for upgrades, system outages, and configuration modifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, architecture, and system administration principles.

• Familiarity with networking, security, operating systems, storage, databases, disaster recovery, and associated technologies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to plan, coordinate, and oversee complex technical projects and initiatives.

• Proficiency in developing and sustaining technical documentation, procedures, and standards.

• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.

• Ability to organize tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

• Ability to foster collaborative relationships and influence stakeholders.

• Understanding of IT service management, change management, ITIL, COBIT, and Agile methodologies.

• Capacity to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and provide technical leadership and mentoring.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Technical training with certification in relevant technology is required when applicable.

• A minimum of eight years of experience in I.T. and/or application development is required.

• Experience managing assigned technology and conducting routine and critical maintenance within specified service levels is preferred.

• Familiarity with supporting .NET and Java-based applications in both Windows and Linux server environments is preferred.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including AD CS, with extensive technical expertise in AD FS is preferred.

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Azure environments is preferred.

• Experience managing enterprise load balancing solutions for highly available and resilient production workloads is preferred.

• Experience with VDI technologies, including VMware/Omnissa Horizon, is preferred.

• Capability to sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer.

• Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other IT-related tools.

• Ability to work in a standard office environment and participate in meetings either in person or virtually.
