This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.
• Oversee, monitor, maintain, apply patches, and securely configure Proxmox hypervisors at various geographic locations.
• Execute controlled upgrades and version updates for Proxmox.
• Manage firmware updates for Dell servers and iDRAC systems.
• Keep track of CPU, memory, storage, cluster health, and physical server performance.
• Administer virtual machines running on Windows Server and Linux.
• Implement patching, security baselines, configuration standards, and performance monitoring procedures.
• Utilize NinjaOne RMM for remote administration, monitoring, patching, and configuration management tasks.
• Detect and address configuration drift, performance issues, and capacity risks.
• Supervise backup and disaster recovery systems.
• Investigate backup failures and carry out documented test restores.
• Manage Linux-based CCTV servers and the NX Witness VMS environment.
• Oversee the operational status of CCTV systems, including disk, storage, RAID, SMART, hardware, camera connectivity, recording, and retention.
• Handle SentinelOne Complete endpoint security and investigate security alerts.
• Provide service desk support for Wi-Fi, IPTV, and technology-related requests.
• Acknowledge, triage, resolve, and escalate service tickets as necessary.
• Maintain documentation of infrastructure and operational standards.
• Proactively monitor performance, capacity, and identify security vulnerabilities.
• Recognize opportunities for enhancing reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Report on patch compliance, backup health, CCTV status, and the overall security posture.
• Demonstrated experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar infrastructure role.
• Practical experience with virtualization platforms, particularly Proxmox.
• Administration experience with both Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Expertise in patching and security hardening processes.
• Familiarity with RMM platforms such as NinjaOne or similar.
• Experience in monitoring backup systems and performing documented test restores.
• Knowledge of server hardware, storage solutions, and firmware lifecycle management.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Proficient written English skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders based in Australia.
• Experience with CCTV systems or VMS, especially NX Witness, is preferred.
• Experience managing distributed infrastructure across multiple locations is a plus.
• Familiarity with Dell server firmware and iDRAC is desirable.
• Basic scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages are advantageous.
• Experience with SentinelOne or other endpoint security solutions is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Strong skills in documentation, organization, communication, customer focus, and collaboration.
