This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and applications to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs.
• Ensure secure and reliable connectivity for both on-site and remote users.
• Provide technical support to users by resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with security policies.
• Implement and oversee data backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Regularly test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and continuity of business operations.
• Apply security updates and patches to servers, applications, and devices.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine administrative tasks.
• Identify and implement enhancements to current systems and workflows.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
• Generate reports on system health, usage, and security for management review.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6-10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in managing operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, macOS) and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and tools (e.g., DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
• Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and domain management.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Secret clearance.
• 25% - 50% travel is required.
• Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Understanding of ITIL practices for incident and change management.
