This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee, manage, and secure the core IT infrastructure.
• Handle both on-premises and Cloud environments.
• Ensure the reliability of servers and networks across LAN/WAN systems.
• Administer essential directory services and operational applications to support daily business functions.
• Create, implement, maintain, and enforce IT policies and procedures.
• Deploy, configure, and manage a range of Operating Systems and Software applications, including Windows Servers and Linux.
• Maintain fundamental AWS infrastructure components such as EC2 instances, S3 storage, Security Groups, and IAM permissions.
• Administer the Microsoft 365 environment, overseeing licenses, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, along with basic security and compliance settings.
• Manage Active Directory, GPO, user accounts, permissions, and access control.
• Support, patch, and troubleshoot business applications across various environments.
• Develop and manage disaster recovery plans, including local and cloud backup solutions.
• Serve as an escalation point for helpdesk technicians.
• Develop and maintain a change control process to manage project scope and complexity.
• Track and report on project progress by establishing well-defined milestones.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in systems administration, focusing on Windows, Linux, and cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Linux servers.
• Basic knowledge and practical experience in administering AWS infrastructure and/or Microsoft 365 suites.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, basic LAN/WAN concepts, and core protocols (DNS, DHCP).
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity and access management.
• Advanced skills in networking and security analysis.
• Familiarity with Cisco routing, switching, and security products.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure on AWS Cloud and Microsoft 365.
