This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a technical leader accountable for the comprehensive design, development, and implementation of protective relay settings and coordination studies.

• Organize, schedule, conduct, and/or oversee detailed phases of assigned project tasks.

• Execute short-circuit and symmetrical component analyses.

• Carry out time-current coordination and step-distance coordination.

• Formulate and coordinate relay settings.

• Create test plans and support commissioning activities.

• Analyze and troubleshoot events within protection systems.

• Generate NERC PRC compliance reports.

• Design protection schemes for transmission, distribution, generation, and renewable energy sources.

• Offer technical guidance to fellow engineers.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.

• An ABET-accredited program or equivalent is required.

• A PE License or the capability to obtain one within one year is essential.

• A minimum of 4 years of engineering experience is necessary.

• Demonstrated experience with system modeling and fault analysis software, including ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, or EasyPower.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is required.

• Strong understanding of system modeling, relay coordination studies, and protective relay settings for systems ranging from 12.47 kV to 345 kV.

• Experience in applying protection system engineering practices in transmission line, bus, transformer, capacitor bank, reactor bank, feeder, generator, motor, or communication-assisted protection schemes.

• Familiarity with NERC PRC standards for compliance is expected.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

• A valid driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement, is required.

• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is necessary.
