This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Manage, maintain, and enhance VoIP and Radius systems in high-performance data centers.
• Design and refine automated system management utilizing Puppet and Debian-based server clusters.
• Lead projects within the VoIP and Radius environment through their entire lifecycle — from design and implementation to deployment.
• Conduct performance assessments and optimizations to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
• Strategically plan and implement rollouts of new features and system updates.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks including system expansions, updates, and upgrades.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues methodically and with a focus on objectives.
• Collaborate with upstream providers by creating and overseeing trouble tickets.
• Engage in an on-call rotation (additional compensation is provided).
• A degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
• Multiple years of experience in IT operations (FOSS systems or Site Reliability Engineering).
• Proficient in Linux administration, particularly within clustered environments.
• Practical knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
• Strong comprehension of networking (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Scripting capabilities (Bash, Python, Perl) for automation purposes.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. KVM, Proxmox, oVirt, OpenStack) is a plus.
• Familiarity with VoIP technologies and telephony systems (e.g. Asterisk, Kamailio) is advantageous.
• Experience with FreeRADIUS is beneficial.
• Knowledge of MySQL / MariaDB administration.
• A proactive, service-oriented attitude and the ability to quickly grasp complex systems.
• Proficient English skills (both written and spoken); basic German is a plus.
