Lead DevOps Engineer – Data & AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Establish and execute a contemporary DevOps and platform engineering strategy that aligns with the objectives of the data and AI platform.

• Create roadmaps that integrate AI-driven development, testing, and operational processes.

• Lead the transition from conventional DevOps to intelligent, self-service platform functionalities.

• Regularly assess emerging technologies (such as GenAI, LLMOps, AIOps) and incorporate them as appropriate.

• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing AI-assisted tools (including code generation, test generation, and pipeline optimization).

• Embed AI copilots and automation agents into development and deployment workflows.

• Establish intelligent quality gates (for instance, automated code reviews and anomaly detection in pipelines).

• Facilitate self-healing pipelines and automated failure diagnostics wherever feasible.

• Develop scalable automation frameworks that leverage AI, scripting, and infrastructure as code.

• Evaluate and improve integrations across the Anglo American Data Platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• Proficient in infrastructure as code (Bicep, ARM, or similar technologies).

• Skilled in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).

• Comprehensive understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and release management strategies.

• Familiarity with Azure services and cloud-native architectures.

• Knowledgeable in data platforms (Databricks, ADF, Airflow, SQL, AAS, or equivalent).

• Practical experience or significant familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and code assistants).

• Understanding of MLOps / LLMOps concepts (including model deployment, monitoring, and versioning).

• Experience with AIOps tools for monitoring and incident management.

• Experience integrating APIs or services for AI functionalities into workflows is advantageous.
