Lead DevOps Engineer, Data & AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Lead the design and execution of contemporary DevOps practices.

• Improve and advance CI/CD processes.

• Incorporate new features into release pipelines.

• Propel automation throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

• Define and establish a modern DevOps and platform engineering strategy.

• Create roadmaps that integrate AI-assisted development, testing, and operations.

• Regularly assess emerging technologies.

• Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing AI-assisted tools.

• Develop scalable automation frameworks using AI, scripting, and infrastructure as code.

• Evaluate and optimize integrations within the Anglo American Data Platform.

• Establish governance practices throughout the pipelines.

• Partner with Data Delivery and platform teams to efficiently resolve issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• Proficient in infrastructure as code (Bicep, ARM or similar).

• Skilled in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).

• In-depth understanding of DevOps principles, Git workflows, and release strategies.

• Experience with Azure services and cloud-native architectures.

• Knowledgeable about data platforms (Databricks, ADF, Airflow, SQL, AAS or equivalent).

• Practical experience or strong familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).

• Understanding of MLOps / LLMOps concepts (model deployment, monitoring, versioning).

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex systems and enhance scalability and performance.
