System Engineer, Network & Firewall

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Qualification and management of incidents and service requests at the 2nd and 3rd levels within network and firewall domains.

• Analysis, troubleshooting, and enhancement of customers' network and security frameworks.

• Collection, assessment, and evaluation of customers' technical needs in both existing and new infrastructures.

• Planning, execution, and documentation of modifications and technical projects.

• Maintenance, proactive support, and further development of managed customer environments.

• Creation and upkeep of technical documentation and entries in the knowledge base.

• Independent project management and support for a diverse clientele.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience and qualifications in firewall technologies (WatchGuard, Sophos, or Palo Alto) and/or network environments (Aruba, Cisco/Meraki, or Huawei).

• Proficiency in routing, switching, VLANs, and network security.

• Understanding of VPN technologies and site-to-site networking.

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker), a degree in computer science, or an equivalent qualification.

• Several years of hands-on experience in operating network and security environments.

• A strong desire for professional growth and development.

• Excellent communication skills, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
