System Engineer, DNS Knowledge – IoT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Execution and management of physical, virtualized, and containerized system environments, focusing on the integration of a new IoT resolution platform within Kubernetes.

• Analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation of system issues, along with regular assessments and enhancements of automated processes and strategies such as failover, deployment, and disaster recovery to guarantee a highly available and resilient system with minimal recovery time.

• Identification, documentation, and organization of new test use cases, including the development and optimization of scripts in Ansible, Bash, Perl, and Python.

• Implementing modifications in test, reference, and production systems to improve system stability and introduce new features.

• Creation of innovative methods and tools for data analysis and monitoring, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive system functionality.

• Working closely with the German operations team to streamline processes, improve software, tools, and system performance, while applying cutting-edge technologies and concepts.


⛳️ Requirements

• Basic understanding of DNS (PowerDNS, DoH/DoT/DoQ); prior experience in a telecommunications company is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestrating CNFs.

• Must possess proficiency in utilizing and adapting configurations for Kubernetes.

• Experience with IP networks, routers, and LAN/WAN technologies, including troubleshooting using tracing tools (e.g., Wireshark).

• Practical experience in monitoring systems and data analytics (e.g., Prometheus, Medusa).

• Excellent analytical abilities combined with a strong focus on quality.

• Familiarity with both traditional and agile collaboration methods.

• Availability for on-call duties for approximately 8 weeks per year, with infrequent tasks outside regular working hours.
