• Offer senior technical direction for the architectural modernization of enterprise infrastructure in support of the SEC ISS contract.
• Convert mission and functional requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions within on-premises and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Lead interdisciplinary engineering and operations teams to enhance reliability, automation, and service performance in line with SEC OIT objectives.
• Spearhead technology evaluations, proofs of concept, pilots, and demonstrations while ensuring designs comply with 24x7x365 enterprise operations and observability needs.
• Ensure that architectural decisions are in accordance with Zero Trust, FISMA, and SEC governance standards.
• Design and oversee enterprise IT systems across various functional domains, including server, platform, storage, and cloud sectors.
• Establish scalable and resilient target-state designs and transitional architectures for hybrid setups.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and technical decision artifacts to facilitate execution and governance.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend technologies that satisfy specified technical and business criteria.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary server and system operations teams in enterprise settings.
• Assist in root-cause analysis, corrective measures, and continuous improvement initiatives related to SLA and performance goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure technical solutions are aligned with SEC policy, risk management, and operational governance.
• This role is limited to U.S. citizens only.
• Capability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust clearance.
• BS Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10-13 years of pertinent experience in engineering and designing enterprise IT systems.
• Four years of experience may substitute for a BS degree.
• Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary server and system operations teams.
• Demonstrated ability to convert functional requirements into enterprise-level technical solutions and lead integration/scalability initiatives.
• Must hold Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure certification, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a knack for effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in enterprise infrastructure design and architecture.
• Familiarity with multi-vendor server operating systems.
• Knowledge of virtualization and cloud integration architectures.
• Proficiency in system integration and scalability architecture.
• Understanding of security architecture for enterprise platforms.
• Experience in technology evaluation, POC/pilot execution, and solution validation.
