This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Define the system architecture for 5G/6G RAN and Core, ensuring alignment with 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance, ETSI NFV, and SCF FAPI/nFAPI specifications.
• Develop and execute multi-threaded real-time/embedded systems, demonstrating expertise in design, documentation, implementation, and unit testing.
• Construct system architecture as software applications that function within virtualized environments (Kubernetes, Docker), guaranteeing critical connectivity and high availability.
• Design and implement end-to-end Network/System Architecture based on an Open RAN model with comprehensive recommendations for 3GPP and O-RAN features.
• Generate complete technical blueprints that encompass RAN functional splits, control/user plane separation, and cloud-native deployments.
• Mentor engineering teams in the deployment of scalable, secure, and high-performance network functions (DU, CU, RIC, Core).
• Offer technical assistance to cross-functional teams in feature implementation and establish integration, verification, and validation strategies.
• Conduct system-level performance evaluations, capacity planning, and design enhancements.
• Ensure architectural adherence to open interfaces (O-RAN fronthaul, midhaul, backhaul) and interoperability with multi-vendor ecosystems.
• Contribute to standardization initiatives and monitor emerging features in Releases 17/18/19+ and pre-standard 6G projects.
• Strong background in C/C++ programming along with debugging skills for practical implementation tasks.
• Extensive knowledge of multi-threaded real-time/embedded systems, with proven skills in design, documentation, implementation, and unit testing.
• Substantial experience with disaggregated and cloud-native RAN implementation architecture.
• Familiarity with the ETSI NFV framework, MANO, and cloud-native orchestration (Kubernetes, CNF design).
• Profound understanding of 3GPP specifications for 5G NR and Core (R15–R18, early 6G) and O-RAN standards.
• Strong grasp of O-RAN architecture, interfaces (OFH CUPS Planes, F1, E1, E2, A1, O1, O2), and RIC functions.
• Demonstrated experience in designing large-scale telecom systems (RAN, Core, OSS/BSS or SMO integration).
• Knowledge of version control, bug tracking, and CI/CD systems.
• Understanding of security, reliability, and QoS in telecom-grade deployments.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
