Databricks Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture and design of enterprise Data & AI platforms that facilitate analytics, reporting, machine learning, and AI-driven business functionalities.

• Establish scalable data architecture, governance, security, and operational frameworks tailored for modern cloud-native platforms.

• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to pinpoint and prioritize opportunities for data modernization, AI, and automation.

• Design and direct the implementation of AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions utilizing enterprise data assets.

• Set architecture standards, best practices, and technology roadmaps for data engineering and AI initiatives.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to engineering, platform, and AI teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12-15 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, and AI/GenAI solutions, demonstrating a record of designing and delivering enterprise-scale data and AI platforms.

• Extensive expertise in data architecture, data engineering, data warehousing, data lakes, lakehouse architectures, data modeling, metadata management, and data governance.

• Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms from data ingestion to analytics and AI consumption layers.

• Profound knowledge of batch, streaming, and real-time data processing architectures.

• Significant hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark, Workflows, ML/AI capabilities, Mosaic AI, Agent frameworks, and enterprise data engineering patterns.

• Google Cloud Track: Familiarity with BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, AI/ML services, and contemporary cloud-native data platform architectures.

• Experience in constructing scalable cloud-native data platforms with a strong emphasis on performance, governance, security, and operational excellence.

• Strong comprehension of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, Vector Databases, AI Agents, Multi-Agent Architectures, and Agentic AI patterns.

• Practical experience in designing and deploying AI solutions using Databricks AI capabilities, Vertex AI, foundation models, and enterprise AI frameworks.

• Background in integrating AI capabilities into enterprise data platforms while maintaining governance, security, and responsible AI practices.

• Solid understanding of data quality, lineage, observability, metadata management, and platform governance.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, enabling effective collaboration between business and technology teams.

• Experience in Real Estate, Property Technology, Marketplace, Consumer Digital, or related industries is preferred but not mandatory.
