System Analyst, CBS, Deposits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Evaluate business needs for deposit products and convert them into comprehensive functional and technical specifications.

• Create and update requirement documents, user stories, and task descriptions for both the internal development team and the external CBS vendor.

• Collaborate with the CBS vendor: outline project scope, manage change requests, review vendor solutions, and evaluate their effect on current processes.

• Conduct requirements workshops and grooming sessions with business owners, product managers, and technical stakeholders.

• Execute gap analysis of existing CBS capabilities against business requirements and recommend solutions within or outside platform limitations.

• Engage in system integration design by defining data flows and API contracts between the CBS and adjacent systems.

• Assess vendor deliverables: evaluate functional designs, participate in UAT, and monitor defect resolution.

• Keep system documentation up-to-date: functional descriptions, business process flows, data dictionaries, and decision tables.

• Assist the internal QA team with test scenario preparation and serve as an escalation contact during testing phases.

• Track and evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on deposit product logic, and initiate change requests as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a System or Business Analyst in the banking or financial services sector.

• Practical experience with core banking systems (any major CBS platform).

• In-depth understanding of deposit product mechanics, including checking, savings, and term/time deposits.

• Demonstrated ability to write requirements for external vendors and oversee delivery.

• Excellent documentation skills, including use cases, BRD/FSD, BPMN, and data flow diagrams.

• Experience with REST API analysis and integration design.

• Proficiency in English (B2+) for daily communication with the vendor and international teams.
