This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Senior Portfolio Monitoring Analyst undertakes a range of advanced underwriting tasks, which typically involve overseeing and servicing both existing and new accounts by reviewing, validating, reconciling, and analyzing tested financial covenants and borrowing base certificates.
• Regular analysis and presentation of covenant compliance as well as financial performance trends to Underwriters, Account Officers, and other personnel within the company are essential.
• This position is responsible for monitoring a specified portfolio and requires an advanced understanding of financial statement analysis.
• The analyst will often assist in spreading financial statements for Production Agriculture, Agribusiness, and Capital Markets accounts.
• Independent decision-making capabilities are necessary.
• Additionally, this role will manage a small portfolio of credits with an emphasis on Production Agriculture, Agribusiness, and Capital Markets.
• Responsibilities include analyzing and evaluating loan applications, approving loans within designated authorities, and recommending loans for committee approval.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with majors in Accounting, Finance, Business, Agribusiness, or related fields required, or at least six (6) years of experience in a similar capacity in lieu of a degree.
• A general understanding of agriculture and/or agribusiness is necessary.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, including internships, is preferred.
• A demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, banking policies, procedures, and processes is required.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills for validating, evaluating, prioritizing, and categorizing data in various formats are essential.
• A self-motivated work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to producing accurate work are required.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities are critical for success in our fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs is expected.
