System Administrator – N.A. Service Delivery Group

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Set up, configure, and virtualize server hardware.

• Install and configure operating systems, software, and network settings.

• Create deployment scripts and manifests to ensure consistent deployment of hardware and platforms.

• Design and implement new solutions based on evolving customer requirements.

• Proactively monitor system performance, ensuring reliability and availability of IT services.

• Optimize operating systems, deploy software updates and patches, and modify deployment scripts and manifests to maintain compliance with security standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.

• Respond to system outages and carry out necessary repairs.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

• Offer technical support and training to users.

• Implement and maintain backup solutions, including RDBMS replication, recovery, and system failover.

• Develop and test disaster recovery plans.

• Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Ensure network security and manage VPN connections.

• Monitor and enforce security policies.

• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.

• Maintain precise records of IT assets and inventory.

• Collaborate with other CBN and customer IT staff and departments to support various projects and initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their IT needs.

• Ensure compliance with CBN and customer IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).

• Legally authorized to work in the USA.

• Willingness to work outside of standard business hours as needed.

• Ability to travel approximately 2-4 weeks per year on average.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or a related field) or a comparable combination of relevant education and work experience.

• Certifications such as CISSP, LPIC, ITIL, VCP, MCSE, OCA/OCP 12c are advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with Active Directory.

• Understanding of Virtualization.

• Basic knowledge of IT Security principles and protocols (TLS, encryption at rest).

• Familiarity with ITIL processes.

• Knowledge of the IT auditing process (an asset).

• Over 5 years of system administration experience.
