This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Take full ownership of the administration for the Atlassian Cloud stack, which includes Jira Cloud (Software, Service Management, Work Management), Confluence Cloud, Atlassian Guard/Access, and related marketplace applications within a Cloud-only environment.
• Configure and oversee projects, boards, issue types, workflows, screens, custom fields, components, versions, and all notification, permission, and security schemes within Jira Cloud.
• Manage user provisioning, groups, roles, product access, SSO/SCIM, and license distribution throughout the Atlassian Cloud organization.
• Maintain Confluence Cloud spaces, templates, page hierarchies, permissions, and space governance to facilitate knowledge management at scale.
• Supervise Jira Service Management Cloud queues, request types, SLAs, customer portals, and approval workflows to enhance both internal and customer-facing service operations.
• Design, implement, and sustain Jira Cloud Automation rules, Confluence Cloud automations, and cross-product workflows aimed at minimizing manual updates and handoffs – tracking quarterly reductions in manual effort as a key performance indicator.
• Create and maintain integrations between Atlassian Cloud and various business systems (including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Google Workspace, GitHub, DocuSign, Salesforce, and HRIS/ITSM tools) using native Cloud connectors, REST APIs, webhooks, and low-code platforms like Zapier, Workato, or n8n.
• Assess, install, configure, and manage Atlassian Marketplace Cloud applications – overseeing app lifecycle, security assessments, and renewals throughout the stack.
• Design and maintain dashboards, JQL-based filters, and reports that provide teams and leadership with real-time insights into priorities, workload, risks, and impediments – eliminating manual reporting burdens.
• Collaborate with departments to map existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and establish repeatable Jira and Confluence processes – fostering standard operating procedures and facilitating the rapid onboarding of new teams with approved templates and configurations.
• Ensure that the Atlassian Cloud environment complies with security, compliance, and data governance standards – implementing RBAC, SSO/MFA via Atlassian Guard, SCIM provisioning, audit logging, data residency, and vendor risk management (SOC 2, DPAs).
• Act as a point of escalation for platform risks, cross-system challenges, and incidents – ensuring that corrective measures and prevention strategies are documented and executed.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), configuration baselines, change logs, and best-practice manuals across the Atlassian Cloud platform.
• Promote platform adoption, minimize shadow tooling, and enhance operational maturity throughout the organization – measuring success by consistent platform engagement, a reduction in the reliance on spreadsheets and duplicate tools, and improved cycle times for critical workflows.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience managing Atlassian Cloud, specifically Jira Cloud (Software, Service Management, Work Management) and Confluence Cloud; experience with Cloud is essential, while Server/Data Center experience is not necessary.
• Profound expertise in configuring Jira Cloud projects, issue types, workflows, screens, custom fields, components, versions, and all notification, permission, and security schemes.
• Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining Jira Cloud Automation rules, including cross-project and global automations.
• Practical experience in administering Jira Service Management Cloud and Confluence Cloud, including spaces, templates, permissions, and governance.
• Experience managing the Atlassian Cloud organization via admin.atlassian.com – including user provisioning, SSO/SCIM, Atlassian Guard/Access, product access, domain claiming, and license management.
• Technical proficiency in Atlassian's integration and reporting tools – JQL, Confluence macros, REST APIs, webhooks, native Cloud connectors, and low-code platforms like Zapier, Workato, n8n, or Make.
• Experience in evaluating, installing, and managing Atlassian Marketplace Cloud applications.
• Strong foundation in process design, workflow optimization, and translating business requirements into effective Atlassian Cloud configurations.
• A working knowledge of security, privacy, RBAC, SSO/MFA, audit logging, and vendor risk principles (SOC 2, DPAs) within a SaaS environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
• Atlassian Cloud certifications are preferred (ACP-120, ACP-420, ACP-620, or similar).
• Experience with ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud, Forge/Connect app development, or Atlassian Analytics is preferred.
• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
• Exceptional work-life balance with 4 weeks of Paid Time Off.
• 10 Paid Company Holidays plus 2 floating holidays.
• 401K Programs with employer matching contributions.
• Personal assistance programs available for support in maintaining a healthy personal and professional life.
