System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Document comprehensive cloud hosting infrastructures, encompassing capacity planning, selection of software and instance types, allocation, and network architecture.

• Construct systems by installing, configuring, and testing cloud resources.

• Utilize automation and configuration management to guarantee repeatability and traceability of modifications.

• Diagnose issues with system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems.

• Implement access controls and monitoring solutions to safeguard system integrity and security.

• Deliver written assessments and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Oversee and analyze systems while performing performance optimization.

• Maintain documentation for internal systems and customer deployments.

• Engage in a 24x7 on-call rotation, roughly one week on call and one week on backup each month.

• Address support tickets and incidents in alignment with SLA commitments.

• Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and professional organizations.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Advanced to fluent English communication abilities.

• Additional experience with other cloud service providers is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Linux system administration.

• Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python and Shell.

• Profound understanding of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.

• Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and CDNs.

• Capability to solve problems and function in an agile, fast-paced setting.

• Customer-focused with effective communication skills.

• Willingness to be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation, approximately one shift per month.

• AWS certifications are a plus, or a willingness to pursue certification.

• Interest in Generative AI technologies.

• Some experience in Windows system administration.

• Must be a resident of Brazil.

• Must be eligible to work legally without visa sponsorship.
