System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee the administration, upkeep, security, and operational assistance of the organization's on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

• Provide support for Windows and Linux operating systems, VMware setups, Active Directory services, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.

• Administer and assist with Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

• Maintain resources in AWS and Microsoft Azure.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud-based infrastructure and applications.

• Manage VMware vSphere, virtual machines, monitor the health of the infrastructure, and address performance concerns.

• Identify, evaluate, and address vulnerabilities within operating systems and infrastructure.

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux Server and Windows operating systems.

• Manage Active Directory users, groups, organizational units, and Group Policies.

• Address and resolve incidents, service requests, and operational challenges.

• Collaborate with Network Engineers, Business Analysts, and Database Administrators to implement client/server systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft operating systems and applications, including Windows 2016 / 2019 / 2022 / 2025.

• At least 3 years of experience with Linux operating systems and applications, including Red Hat 7, 8 and SUSE 15, 16.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting a Citrix environment or a similar equivalent.

• Familiarity with Citrix or an equivalent product.

• Understanding of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).

• Experience with backup software in an environment with over 800 servers.

• Ability to configure and troubleshoot network services at the operating-system level, including interface setup, routing, name resolution, and connectivity across both Linux and Windows environments.

• Capability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
