Lead NetSuite ERP Systems Administrator

Posted 2 days ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for NetSuite, driving coordinated change initiatives across various NetSuite modules while collaborating with other NetSuite resources, module specialists, Finance, Business Operations, IT, and external partners.

• Manage the administration, configuration, performance, reliability, security, and daily health of NetSuite, which includes overseeing roles and permissions, workflows, forms, records, saved searches, dashboards, release readiness, and issue resolution.

• Oversee and maintain the integrity of integrations and data flows between NetSuite and associated business systems, ensuring data accuracy, clear ownership, efficient error resolution, and consideration of both upstream and downstream effects.

• Collaborate with integration developers, IT, and third-party resources to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, validate design options, and assist with integration changes; while the ability to resolve minor technical/configuration issues is expected, full integration development is not the main responsibility.

• Support NetSuite-enabled business processes in a service-oriented environment, encompassing project/PSA processes, billing, revenue, accounts payable, expenses, HRIS-related data flows, reporting, and financial operations.

• Develop, implement, and formalize NetSuite standards and best practices, ensuring proper documentation, conducting system and data-quality assessments, advising on system limitations and options, and managing workflows and administrative functions within financial systems.

• Promote the adoption of new processes and system changes through effective stakeholder communication, user expectation management, UAT planning, training/support, and prioritization of development and enhancement initiatives.

• Proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvements, maintain a NetSuite roadmap/backlog aligned with business priorities, and assist the Enterprise Applications Group in minimizing recurring issues through root-cause analysis.

• Manage NetSuite release processes, including reviewing release notes, prioritizing features, developing testing strategies, assessing integration impacts, coordinating deployments, and validating post-release outcomes.

• Lead NetSuite roadmap planning and change prioritization in collaboration with Finance, Business Operations, IT, and other enterprise application stakeholders.

• Function as a proactive problem solver and team player who takes ownership of results, communicates risks and statuses clearly, and efficiently drives issues to resolution without needing daily oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8+ years of practical NetSuite administration experience, ideally in a complex, multi-system enterprise setting.

• NetSuite Administrator Certification is preferred.

• Strong understanding of accounting/finance processes, with practical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, revenue recognition, reporting, and project-based financial operations.

• Experience in coordinating integrations and data flows between NetSuite and other enterprise applications such as CRM, PSA, HRIS, accounts payable automation, expense management, reporting/BI, and middleware platforms.

• Capability to troubleshoot NetSuite scripts, workflows, integrations, and customization errors; SuiteScript, SuiteQL/SQL, or development experience is advantageous but not the primary focus of the role.

• Advanced knowledge of NetSuite configuration, roles/permissions, workflows/SuiteFlow, saved searches, dashboards, custom fields, custom records, forms, data quality, and release testing.

• Previous experience supporting NetSuite in a service-based or project-oriented business.

• Familiarity with PSA/project platforms such as Kantata OX, Certinia, OpenAir, SuiteProjects, as well as systems like Salesforce, Navan, Medius, SuitePeople, NSPB, NetSuite CRM, Advanced Revenue Management, or similar platforms is preferred.

• Proven experience working within a matrixed business applications or enterprise applications team, coordinating with various system owners and technical resources.

• Preference for candidates based on the US East Coast; remote work is acceptable, with hybrid options available near a Lumanity office.

• Availability to support UK-facing morning collaboration hours is essential.
