This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.
• Ensure the reliability, integrity, and effective functioning of information systems.
• Support the Technical Support team in various aspects of their responsibilities.
• Oversee, maintain, support, and enhance all networked software and associated operating systems.
• Utilize strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, convey, and address issues.
• Assist in the design and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing software and operating systems.
• Collaborate with network personnel to ensure seamless and dependable operation of software and systems.
• Contribute to the design and execution of server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery protocols.
• Develop and maintain documentation regarding system configurations, mappings, processes, and service records.
• Ensure connectivity for all servers, shared software, groupware, and applications.
• Monitor and evaluate system performance; prepare and present performance statistics and reports.
• Serve as a liaison between the Technical Support team and other departments.
• Provide training to the Technical Support team when opportunities arise.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering and/or 2 years of relevant work experience is highly preferred.
• Outstanding analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong skills in architecture and technical support documentation.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Ruby, and/or Python.
• Capability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form while managing various abstract and concrete variables.
• Experience with systems planning, security principles, and best practices in software management.
• Practical knowledge of current software protocols and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, HTML, AJAX, Javascript, and XML.
• Experience with programming languages (Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python).
• Knowledge of Configuration Management systems, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code, including Chef, Ansible, GitLab, Terraform, etc.
• Experience with monitoring systems such as Nagios, Grafana, Sensu, and Zabbix.
• Proven software troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with network and PC operating systems, particularly Linux.
• Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Awareness of applicable data privacy practices and regulations.
• Ability to express ideas in both technical and easily understandable terms.
• Capable of prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure setting.
