This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive People Operations strategy, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives to support business growth and transformation.
• Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CEO, COO, and the wider Executive Leadership Team on all aspects of talent management, culture, organizational design, and change initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance to align workforce planning and headcount strategies with the investment thesis and budgetary targets.
• Lead the people-related workstream during M&A due diligence and post-merger integration, including cultural assessments, organizational design, retention strategies, harmonization of programs, and change management efforts.
• Create a robust HR metrics and analytics framework to provide insights that facilitate data-driven decision-making at all leadership levels.
• Oversee and mentor the People Operations team, including People Business Partners, Generalists, and functional specialists in Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and HRIS, while coordinating with Payroll in Accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and enhance the People Operations Team Charter, objectives, and operating rhythm; manage resource allocation, budget, milestones, and risk assessments.
• Establish, document, and continuously enhance standard operating procedures across all People Operations functions, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
• Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations within People Operations, including necessary regulatory reporting, in collaboration with internal and external legal advisors.
• Manage Total Rewards strategies, including compensation philosophy, structure, and administration; lead the development of benefits programs to ensure competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
• Implement company culture initiatives through systems, rituals, and feedback mechanisms to enhance employee engagement, recognition, and connection within a distributed workforce.
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on talent management, performance issues, organizational design, and complex employee relations challenges.
• Promote an inclusive workplace where every employee feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to excel in their careers.
• Collaborate with leaders to design scalable teams and roles, offering insights on capability gaps and succession planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience in a dynamic, growth-focused, and performance-driven environment.
• Proven experience in establishing strategic direction for HR functions and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated success in both strategic and tactical operations; capable of developing a vision and executing it personally.
• Extensive experience in influencing within a complex, cross-functional organization, fostering productive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen and commercial understanding, including knowledge of how strategies translate into results and the impact of People decisions on financial performance.
• Proven ability to build trust at scale with executives, managers, and individual contributors through consistency, transparency, and sound judgment.
• Demonstrated capability to manage the People Operations budget and other critical financial metrics of the function.
• Advanced technological proficiency; familiarity with modern HRIS, ATS, people analytics, and AI tools.
• Experience leading the people workstream in M&A diligence and integration is highly desirable.
