SVP, Head of Agentic Engineering, Acceleration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement a multiyear strategy and roadmap for agentic product and engineering within Nuvei’s global technology organization.

• Set adoption goals and transition teams from controlled experimentation to governed production use and agentic-first methodologies.

• Assemble and manage an initial global agentic-native engineering team of 10 to 15 members, expanding as demand and value increase.

• Provide enterprise software, reusable components, platform capabilities, and modernization projects through agentic development.

• Oversee the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the company-wide Agentic Delivery Lifecycle.

• Integrate agentic delivery with source-code management, CI/CD, testing, security, observability, change management, and production operations platforms.

• Specify requirements for an enterprise-grade agentic development and execution platform and spearhead the adoption of approved technologies.

• Direct the development of reusable enterprise agents, specialized skills, workflows, orchestration capabilities, and MCP services.

• Develop engineering adoption programs, embedded engineering initiatives, lighthouse implementations, training academies, certifications, and communities of practice.

• Redefine roles, skills, team structures, workflows, career paths, and capacity expectations as adoption progresses.

• Establish governance, security, production assurance, auditability, monitoring, rollback, and incident management processes.

• Define metrics, dashboards, executive reporting, and cost controls for productivity, delivery, quality, reliability, modernization, developer experience, and agentic platform usage.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, Information Security, Data, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and business AI leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive executive experience in leading global software engineering, AI engineering, developer platforms, engineering transformation, or similar technology organizations.

• Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams across diverse countries, cultures, time zones, and technology landscapes.

• Demonstrated success in driving enterprise-scale adoption of new engineering technologies, development methods, operating models, and organizational practices.

• Experience in designing, building, or scaling enterprise generative-AI or agentic-AI platforms and production capabilities.

• In-depth knowledge of modern software engineering, cloud platforms, developer experience, CI/CD, automated testing, source-code management, observability, security, and production operations.

• Strong familiarity with large language models, agent orchestration, tool calling, retrieval-augmented generation, context and memory management, model routing, human oversight, MCP servers, model gateways, and enterprise APIs.

• Practical experience with platforms such as OpenAI Codex, Anthropic Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

• Solid understanding of AI security, data protection, identity and access management, secrets management, model governance, intellectual property protection, and responsible-AI controls.

• Experience in managing significant technology investments, vendors, and global transformation initiatives.

• Background in payments, fintech, financial services, or another highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.

• Excellent executive communication and influencing abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Advanced degree preferred.

• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required as the primary working language.
