This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as a vital team member on sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
• Offer technical insights, recommendations, and findings to address hotspots and enhance data quality.
• Create and implement due diligence policies and strategies.
• Design value chain mapping, conduct supply chain risk assessments, establish responsible sourcing strategies, prepare for regulatory compliance, perform gap assessments, and develop decarbonization roadmaps.
• Assess and validate supply chain data according to established methodologies and client-specific criteria.
• Assist in business development activities, including client renewal discussions, proposal creation, RFP responses, and customized client solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to comprehend their requirements and devise tailored approaches.
• Provide expertise on GHG inventories and supplier data integration, Scope 3 hotspots, and spend-based, activity-based, or product-specific data.
• Mentor junior team members and enhance the organization's supply chain expertise.
• 2–4 years of experience in an internal or consulting position focusing on supply chain sustainability, compliance, GHG accounting, human rights and environmental due diligence, or supplier engagement.
• Proven experience in a supplier-facing role.
• Solid understanding of sustainability/ESG issues.
• Capability to analyze supplier data to pinpoint hotspots, risks, decarbonization opportunities, and improve data quality.
• Proficiency in adhering to established methodologies with accuracy and consistency.
• Competence in enforcing data quality standards and conducting data quality assessments.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities, including skills in data collection and management.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including the ability to create customized tools for tracking, analysis, and reporting.
• Familiarity with Alteryx, Tableau, or Power BI is advantageous.
• Experience in GHG accounting for Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 in alignment with the GHG Protocol.
• Experience in supporting SBTi-aligned target setting, emissions reduction strategies, and client-specific sustainability recommendations.
• Proven track record of producing high-quality professional reports in various formats for diverse audiences.
• Experience managing projects in-house, within supply chain, consultancy, or NGO settings.
• Working knowledge of sustainability reporting, including ethical trading and/or corporate sustainability reports.
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex issues.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines.
• Strong project management abilities.
• Capacity to collaborate with virtual teams across different time zones.
