This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Gather data to guarantee project completion
• Identify boundaries, pins, improvements, utilities, and other elements for ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys
• Validate and process raw field data, execute calculations, and download/file survey data
• Conduct project research as required
• Adhere to instructions and work orders from project managers
• Maintain daily communication with the Field Project Manager regarding the progress of the field schedule
• Build and sustain relationships with clients, contractors, and team members
• Ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently, adhering to schedules and budgets
• Maintain survey equipment and resolve field issues
• Work outdoors in diverse conditions, navigate rugged terrain, transport equipment, travel regionally and nationally, and work overtime as necessary
• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief
• Strong knowledge of surveying concepts and practices
• Proficient in using total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors
• Part 107 license preferred but not mandatory
• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Commitment to delivering high-quality work punctually and within budget
• Ability to safely traverse and navigate rugged terrain in remote locations
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, muddy environments, and elevated or precarious areas
• Ability to frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds, often up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally frequently
• Readiness to work overtime, including weekends as required
