This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Accountable for gathering data to guarantee the successful completion of projects.
• Identifying boundaries, pins, improvements, utilities, and more while executing various project types, including ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
• Review and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and download/file survey data as necessary.
• Conduct project research when required.
• Adhere to instructions and directives from project managers.
• Engage in daily communication with your Field Project Manager to verify you are on schedule for field tasks and to notify them if you are ahead or behind schedule.
• Capability to safely traverse and navigate challenging terrain in remote locations.
• Willingness to regularly work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and muddy environments, as well as high or precarious locations.
• Ability to transport heavy equipment to different job sites, regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally on a frequent basis.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends as necessary.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, in line with project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain and troubleshoot survey equipment for any issues arising in the field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• In-depth understanding of surveying principles and practices.
• Proficient in utilizing survey equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, focusing on delivering high-quality work punctually and within budget.
