This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Accountable for gathering data to ensure project completion.
• Identifying boundaries, pins, improvements, utilities, etc., while carrying out various project types, including ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
• Review and process raw field data, conduct calculations, and organize/download survey data.
• Conduct project research as required.
• Adhere to directions and work orders from project managers.
• Maintain daily communication with your Field Project Manager to verify if you are on schedule to complete your field assignments and notify them if you are ahead or behind schedule.
• Capability to safely traverse and navigate difficult terrain in remote locations.
• Ability to consistently work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and muddy environments, as well as in elevated or precarious locations.
• Capacity to transport heavy equipment to multiple job sites (regularly lifting/moving up to 25 pounds, frequently lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 100 pounds).
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally on a frequent basis.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends as necessary.
• Foster and sustain excellent relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently, adhering to project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain survey equipment and troubleshoot issues that may occur in the field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• Solid understanding of surveying principles and practices.
• Proficient with survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors.
• Part 107 license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with CAD software, particularly Carlson AutoCAD, is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, focusing on delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
