This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the network of strategic membrane partners, roofing subcontractors, and key decision-makers within the designated geographic region.
• Lead projects from initial conception and surveying through to installation.
• Optimize sales through effective customer and area management.
• Secure and acquire business by developing specified projects or conversions.
• Generate demand and sustain a robust sales pipeline.
• Maintain CRM records for area contacts and associated projects.
• Develop and apply closing techniques, especially for Main Contractor and Installer projects.
• Promote VELUX Commercial product awareness throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Cultivate relationships with waterproofing membrane partners, roofing contractors, and installers while overseeing the buying center.
• Establish connections with trade, industry, and regulatory bodies.
• Influence key decision-makers to integrate VELUX Commercial products into their designs.
• Conduct site visits and surveys, including working at heights and utilizing ladders.
• Position VELUX Commercial products as a distinct choice in terms of market share and opinion.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively to fulfill company strategy, targets, and objectives.
• Monitor market potential and manage sales leads from design handover through to delivery and installation.
• Undertake other reasonable tasks pertinent to the role.
• Demonstrated experience managing the sales process from lead generation to project completion.
• Experience in territory sales.
• Strong networking abilities and the capacity to generate and sustain business relationships.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships at all levels.
• Highly organized, with outstanding planning and time management capabilities.
• Strong customer service aptitude.
• A collaborative team player with a proactive mindset.
• Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Comfortable working at heights and capable of carrying ladders and surveying equipment during site visits.
• Valid UK driving license.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Experience in project sales is preferred.
• Familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings is desirable.
• Knowledge of current Building Regulations, including Parts L and B, is preferred.
• Technical product knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience in roof construction, façades, glazing, or related construction sectors is desirable.
• Familiarity with working on construction sites and conducting surveys at heights is preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills are desirable.
• A DBS check or previous experience working within educational settings or with vulnerable individuals is preferred.
