This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee surplus lines tax submissions and ensure adherence to relevant state regulations across various jurisdictions.
• Prepare, evaluate, and file surplus lines tax reports, affidavits, and other necessary regulatory documents while ensuring compliance with submission deadlines.
• Investigate, track, and apply regulatory and tax changes that affect surplus lines compliance procedures.
• Enhance operational effectiveness by facilitating the collection and submission of required documentation to state authorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 3+ years of experience in the insurance sector.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience managing surplus lines tax filings, regulatory reporting, or a similar compliance role.
• Experience in Managing General Agent (MGA), wholesale brokerage, carrier, or delegated authority settings is highly desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of state surplus lines regulations, tax filing mandates, and non-admitted insurance compliance requirements.
• Strong grasp of insurance terminology, policy structures, and transaction processes.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with policy administration systems, compliance platforms, and Inscipher is strongly preferred.
