Surgical Equipment Repair Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.

📋 Description

• Conduct inspections and testing of general surgery instruments.

• Disassemble faulty equipment and remove, repair, or replace any defective components.

• Maintain records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs conducted.

• Execute preventative maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting instruments.

• Coordinate the development of proposal maintenance programs utilizing company standards and models.

• Manage the processes for equipment pick-up, delivery, communication of quotations, monitoring repair status, and delivering completed repairs.

• Collaborate with leadership to organize periodic performance evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Basic proficiency in computer skills.

• Experience with medical equipment in a hospital or clinical setting.

• Excellent near-sighted vision and the ability to differentiate colors.

• Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as during emergency off-hours as necessary.

• Willingness to travel frequently to meet business objectives and requirements.

• Capability to sit on a work stool, stand, bend, and possess precise hand dexterity for handling, manipulating, or assembling very small items, with or without accommodations.

• Competence to drive a box truck or sprinter-style vehicle safely.

• Proficiency in using digital calipers, grinding wheels, soldering irons, sand blasters, Dremel-style tools, torches, and test equipment that requires good hand-eye coordination.
