This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• The role is centered around managing both Phaco and VitRet equipment, which includes conducting demonstrations, providing service at the point of sale, and overseeing essential consumables.
• You will act as a representative for Alcon in Surgical Accounts, planning and executing strategies while serving as a primary contact during the demonstration and closing phases, ultimately transferring account management after the equipment sale.
• Your efforts will contribute to sales growth by fostering strong customer relationships and promoting our Phaco and VitRet equipment, along with VitRet consumables.
• Collaborate closely with Account Managers throughout the demonstration and closing stages, conducting demos with the assistance of Technical Service.
• Identify the decision-making process and key stakeholders to effectively inform and implement the business strategy.
• Take an active role in generating demand by following up on contract negotiations and preparing as well as negotiating quotes with clients.
• Engage with customers using a consultative sales method to align Alcon products and services with the needs of customers and patients.
• Compete against rival products through value-based selling, involving product experts for specific product categories.
• Tertiary qualifications in optometry, orthoptics, science, or business are required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-facing roles within a surgical environment or related industries is necessary.
• Experience in sales within the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Familiarity with CRM applications (such as Salesforce) for managing relationships and executing account and call planning is preferred.
