Surgery Scheduling Coordinator, Orthopedic Surgery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Coordinate and arrange primary and revision surgeries for hip and knee joint replacements across Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) and partner hospitals based on surgeon preferences and designated block times.

β€’ Schedule appointments for pre-operative clearances, laboratory tests, imaging, and post-operative follow-up visits.

β€’ Compile, verify, and submit surgical packets that include clinical notes, insurance prior authorizations, history and physicals (H&Ps), and consent forms.

β€’ Serve as the main-line contact for the practice by answering incoming calls through Sangoma.

β€’ Address patient inquiries regarding hip and knee procedures, pre-operative instructions, recovery expectations, and surgical logistics.

β€’ Follow up with patients to confirm that medical clearances and pre-surgical laboratory work are completed prior to surgery.

β€’ Maintain surgical logs, patient tracking sheets, and practice metrics utilizing Microsoft Excel.

β€’ Keep chart entries, scheduling updates, and patient communications up to date in eClinicalWorks.

β€’ Assist with incoming electronic faxes, coordinating insurance verifications, adjusting physician schedules, and managing general practice communications.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A background as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Doctor (MD) is required.

β€’ Proven experience in scheduling surgeries; experience with orthopedic joint replacements, particularly hip and knee, is preferred.

β€’ Excellent spoken English, characterized by clarity and professionalism, with neutral pronunciation.

β€’ Extensive experience in managing inbound phone calls from U.S. patients.

β€’ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including skills in data management, tracking, sorting, and formulas.

β€’ Practical experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems; familiarity with eClinicalWorks is preferred.

β€’ A dedicated, quiet workspace that complies with HIPAA regulations at home.

β€’ Reliable high-speed internet connection and power backup systems are essential.

β€’ Availability for full-time work, totaling 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM MST.
