This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform surface title investigations utilizing county records and online databases.
• Analyze deeds, easements, liens, probate documents, encumbrances, and ownership history.
• Create title runsheets, ownership reports, and surface ownership evaluations.
• Detect title issues and suggest corrective measures.
• Draft and prepare recordable documents, including: – Easements – Surface Use Agreements – Right-of-Way Agreements – Affidavits – Assignments – Curative documents.
• Verify the accuracy of legal descriptions and exhibits.
• Assist with document recording and tracking across different jurisdictions.
• Maintain orderly title files and project documentation.
• Collaborate with Land Agents, Project Managers, and Title Leadership to fulfill client requirements.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in surface title (experience in energy, utility, renewable, or infrastructure sectors is preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of chain of title, legal descriptions, and curative processes.
• Proven experience in preparing recordable land documents.
• Familiarity with county record systems and online title databases.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
• Multi-state experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of GIS is advantageous.
