This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Analyze, monitor, and follow up on outstanding premium receivables for the Surety business portfolio.
• Reconcile premium payments to ensure precise cash application and minimize outstanding balances.
• Reconcile substantial agency accounts and collaborate with internal and external partners to address discrepancies.
• Work alongside the Underwriting and Operations teams concerning overdue premiums.
• Investigate and resolve billing disputes, discrepancies, and issues related to payment applications.
• Provide payment histories and billing information for inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with the Operations UA team to ensure premium transactions are accurately represented in the billing system.
• Coordinate with Corporate Billing and Collections teams on cash application, corrections of misapplied cash, transfers, and qualifying aged-balance write-offs.
• Uphold accuracy, attention to detail, and customer service excellence in billing and collections activities.
• Escalate customer service issues, unresolved matters, and significant account concerns to the Manager.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in a remittance, billing, or collections setting.
• Preferred experience in Surety.
• At least 1 year of general office experience, focusing on operations, finance, or accounting-related functions.
• Experience in researching, analyzing, and resolving account discrepancies and billing issues.
• Familiarity with remittance and cash application processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated data analysis skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong orientation towards customer service.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
