This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage a team consisting of 8–10 Collections & Recoveries Specialists
• Oversee team performance in the areas of collections, recoveries, productivity, quality, and consumer experience
• Identify, recruit, onboard, and nurture high-performing Collections & Recoveries Specialists
• Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, one-on-one meetings, performance management, recognition, and accountability
• Utilize data, performance trends, and insights from frontline staff to diagnose root causes, make informed decisions, and drive outcomes
• Create and implement strategies to enhance both individual and team collections and recoveries results
• Take ownership of initiatives from start to finish by spotting opportunities, developing solutions, executing changes, and assessing results
• Ensure that collection activities comply with Cherry's policies, procedures, and relevant federal and state regulations
• Take responsibility for outcomes, proactively address issues, and continuously elevate standards for the team and the organization
• Demonstrated history of consistently achieving or surpassing collections and/or recoveries objectives
• More than 1 year of first-party consumer collections experience, including pre-charge-off collections
• At least 1 year of experience in directly managing a team of Collections & Recoveries Specialists, ideally with 8 or more members
• Proven capability to identify, recruit, and develop top-tier collections talent
• Established ability to coach and significantly enhance individual and team performance
• Proven experience utilizing collections data and KPIs to discover opportunities and drive quantifiable results
• Experience managing projects or operational initiatives from inception through execution and evaluation
• Strong understanding of applicable consumer collections laws, regulations, policies, and controls
• Excellent ownership, judgment, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to support evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business requirements
• High school diploma or GED is mandatory
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
