This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
β’ Serve as a mentor through PwC's collaboration with the Australian Red Cross, assisting individuals who have experienced modern slavery in gaining confidence, navigating the Australian job market, and progressing towards secure, sustainable employment.
β’ Aid mentees in enhancing their confidence and expanding their professional networks.
β’ Recognize the strengths of mentees and guide them in their career pathways.
β’ Partner with mentees on developing their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview techniques.
β’ Provide insights into your industry or profession based on your own experiences, when applicable.
β’ Inspire and empower a skilled professional to achieve their full potential in Australia.
β’ Have at least two years of experience in your field, profession, or industry within Australia.
β’ Dedicate a minimum of 15 hours of your time online over 12 weeks for mentoring (1 hour for onboarding, 2 hours for training*, and 12 hours supporting the mentee).
β’ Complete online training* in trauma-informed mentoring and modern slavery awareness prior to being paired with a mentee.
β’ Be open to sharing your industry insights and creating networking opportunities.
β’ Show respect for diversity and inclusion, particularly for individuals from various cultural, linguistic, and migration backgrounds.
β’ Uphold confidentiality and professional boundaries throughout the mentoring relationship.
β’ Possess strong listening and communication skills, being able to support and encourage others without judgment.
β’ Assist mentees in a professional context and empower them to make informed decisions, while maintaining appropriate boundaries and refraining from offering personal advice.
β’ Enhance your own mentoring, communication, and leadership abilities.
β’ Improve your cross-cultural competence by collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
