Support Engineer – DevOps Responsibilities

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Serve as a point of escalation for Tier 1 engineers, offering mentorship, technical support, and troubleshooting expertise in Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, file systems, and virtualization.

• Oversee and monitor a hybrid infrastructure that includes servers, Linux/Windows systems, Kubernetes, AWS, storage solutions, backups, and VMware.

• Automate operational processes using Ansible and Terraform while managing system configurations.

• Address tickets in a 24/5 operational environment and engage in Scrum ceremonies.

• Assist with Windows-to-Linux migration, develop documentation, and contribute to various infrastructure projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years in Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS) with robust troubleshooting capabilities.

• Practical experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.

• Familiarity with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, routing, and firewalls, along with knowledge of storage systems like NetApp and Pure Storage.

• Proficient in using automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet/Chef, and Jenkins, as well as GitHub.

• Expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi.

• Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, and PowerShell.

• Understanding of Kubernetes.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Proficient in English at an upper-intermediate level or higher, capable of conversing with clients in English.
