This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of comprehensive inventory planning for Shopify, Amazon FBA, and global fulfillment channels.
• Ensure optimal inventory levels while reducing stockouts and surplus inventory.
• Oversee inventory transfer across various warehouses and fulfillment partners.
• Develop and sustain SKU-level demand forecasts by analyzing sales velocity, seasonality, promotional activities, and historical data.
• Strategize inventory needs for product launches and peak periods, particularly in Q4.
• Continuously enhance forecasting models using business insights.
• Manage and upgrade AI-driven inventory planning systems.
• Create and uphold reorder point logic, dashboards, automations, and operational alerts.
• Recognize repetitive operational tasks that can be automated.
• Plan and execute purchase orders based on demand forecasts and manufacturing lead times.
• Calculate production volumes and optimize container usage.
• Maintain effective communication with manufacturing partners.
• Track shipments from purchase orders through manufacturing, freight, customs processes, and warehouse reception.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders and logistics partners.
• Keep an eye on timelines and proactively address delays.
• Handle daily communications with our third-party logistics partner.
• Oversee inbound shipments and ensure accuracy in receiving.
• Evaluate warehouse performance against service level agreements.
• Manage replenishment from the 3PL to Amazon FBA.
• Maintain suitable inventory buffers between various fulfillment channels.
• Prevent stockouts while keeping storage costs to a minimum.
• Handle manufacturer-held inventory designated for international dropshipping.
• Coordinate fulfillment operations across the UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
• Ensure inventory availability for SKUs specific to each region.
• Conduct daily reconciliation of customer orders, shipments, and inventory movements.
• Identify and rectify fulfillment discrepancies before they impact customers.
• Investigate silent fulfillment failures and discrepancies in inventory.
• Monitor refund rates against actual product returns.
• Detect operational leaks including lost inventory, return-to-sender issues, and address validation failures.
• Suggest enhancements to minimize operational losses.
• Collaborate with the Customer Experience team to address fulfillment-related escalations.
• Work closely with leadership to boost operational efficiency.
• Create documentation and scalable operating procedures as the business expands.
• Manage weekly operational reporting, including inventory coverage by SKU, reorder timelines, fulfillment SLA performance, refund and return trends, inventory health metrics, supply chain risks, and recommendations.
• Proven experience in managing supply chain or inventory operations within an eCommerce business.
• Proficient in building AI automations or utilizing AI tools to enhance operations.
• Familiarity with Amazon FBA inventory management and international fulfillment processes.
• Knowledge of inventory planning software and ERP systems.
• Strong skills in forecasting and inventory planning.
• Background in working with manufacturers, freight providers, and/or 3PLs.
• Highly analytical with outstanding attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written communication and follow-up skills.
