This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Assist in the expansion of a thriving Commercial Nuclear Services sector.
• Spearhead project procurement and supply chain strategies.
• Build and oversee relationships with suppliers for essential equipment and services.
• Create procurement plans, including those for long-lead items, and track progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with project teams to formulate procurement packages and fulfill project requirements.
• Develop, articulate, and implement global sourcing strategies for raw materials and services.
• Analyze spending patterns, cost influencers, and factors in the commodity market.
• Construct supplier competitive assessments, performance indicators, sourcing tactics, risk management, and contract administration strategies.
• Identify, manage, and alleviate supply chain risks.
• Oversee vendor assessments, site evaluations, and continuous improvement processes for suppliers.
• Build and sustain a consolidated supply network.
• Establish and enforce procurement processes and applications for EPCM.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery, terms, and conditions effectively.
• Ensure that purchase orders, contracts, and supply agreements adhere to company policies.
• Drive down purchase price variances and manage yearly cost adjustments.
• Set up supplier benchmark metrics and implement corporate initiatives.
• Oversee the selection, development, retention, goals, and performance evaluations of staff.
• Offer direction and support to procurement personnel.
• Prepare and manage budgets, track variances, and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure compliance of staff with organizational policies and procedures.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related discipline, along with 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Five years of experience in personnel management.
• Acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred fifteen years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience in continuous improvement, selecting new suppliers, and conducting supplier audits.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional communication abilities.
• Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills to address ambiguously defined challenges.
• Working knowledge of contract law and related terms and conditions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
• Preferred experience in Nuclear Reactor Construction.
• Preferred experience in international procurement.
• Established supplier relationships in nuclear reactor design and construction projects are preferred.
• Preferred certification in U.S. sourcing/purchasing.
• Field experience supporting large-scale nuclear, construction, and/or U.S. Department of Energy projects is preferred.
• Preferred extensive knowledge of procurement and supplier management software.
