This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take charge of procurement and supply planning across diverse brands, markets, and product categories.
• Direct demand forecasting and inventory planning for the SKU portfolio.
• Oversee the placement and timing of purchase orders, collaborating with suppliers on lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and production schedules.
• Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, negotiating pricing, terms, lead times, and service levels.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, including rates and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Control the inbound freight strategy, encompassing sea versus air freight, container consolidation, routing, and shipment planning.
• Supervise the complete inbound process from suppliers through customs and into warehouses or third-party logistics (3PLs).
• Optimize landed costs while managing supplier, freight, duty, storage, and other inbound expenses.
• Monitor and address issues related to suppliers and inbound logistics, such as delays, short shipments, damages, and customs complications.
• Collaborate with Finance on procurement commitments, stock valuations, landed costs, and cash flow.
• Assist warehouse and 3PL teams with inbound schedules and stock information.
• Lead supply chain planning for peak trading seasons.
• Oversee procurement and logistics for new product launches.
• Ensure adherence to customs, transport, product, and regulatory requirements in the UK, EU, and US markets.
• Maintain supply chain data and systems.
• Develop procurement and supply chain processes, systems, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Lead, develop, and support the supply chain team.
• Collaborate across functions with Commercial, Finance, Operations, Marketplaces, and Warehouse teams.
• Demonstrated experience in managing procurement, supply planning, and inbound logistics, preferably in e-commerce, consumer goods, retail, or a fast-growing environment.
• Strong background in forecasting, inventory planning, and purchasing.
• Experience in managing international manufacturers and suppliers.
• Significant experience with freight forwarders and international inbound logistics.
• Proven track record in negotiating supplier pricing, MOQs, lead times, and commercial terms.
• Solid understanding of landed costs and the financial implications of procurement and freight decisions.
• Experience in managing peak trading and supply chain contingency planning.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence in working with supply chain data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Warehouse teams.
• Previous experience in leading or developing a supply chain team is a plus.
