This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversees and manages the Quality Management System (QMS), including processes, procedures, requirements, contracts, and metrics, to ensure external suppliers' compliance.
• May perform supplier evaluations to verify adherence to quality standards, regulatory guidelines, and contractual agreements.
• Assists in source inspection and material release activities.
• May validate and approve supplier-submitted FAIR through measurement verification and documentation processes.
• Leads various teams to implement key initiatives in Supplier Quality & Development.
• Collaborates with the leadership teams of key suppliers to launch significant improvement programs aimed at achieving and maintaining high performance levels.
• Directs the creation and execution of new processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of current systems.
• Responsible for the implementation of long-term strategies (e.g., exceeding 3 years) and operational direction for a significant region, country, product, or business.
• Manages the establishment and execution of short- to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years) for the organization.
• Provides expertise in analyzing quality data and developing resolutions for part/supplier-specific quality issues and corrective actions.
• Maintains processes, standards, and plans for implementing minimum standards, tools, and methods to ensure the effectiveness of existing quality processes and to sustain quality improvements.
• Promotes support for organizational projects and processes to meet both daily and long-term quality objectives.
• Reviews procedures and metrics that influence quality and provides recommendations to enhance compliance with internal standards.
• Must be open and able to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Generally requires a University Degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 7 years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations.
• 3+ years of prior leadership experience managing direct reports.
• 5+ years of experience in project or contract management.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information under this program/contract.
• Experience in leading remote teams.
• Background in aerospace.
• Experience in AS9100 auditing.
• Skills in strategic business planning.
