This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Execute supplier monitoring and oversight material acceptance strategies for intricate and novel procurements to guarantee adherence to quality and technical specifications.
β’ Develop and distribute precise and clear Supplier Quality monitoring reports to document fabrication processes.
β’ Engage in the resolution of technical and quality challenges stemming from Supplier Quality activities in relevant areas/shops, including the tracking of dispositions and corrective actions to ensure documented proof of successful closure.
β’ Conduct comprehensive evaluations and critiques of nuclear quality programs and assessments.
β’ Collaborate with Supply Chain management to address technical and quality shortcomings with Suppliers' quality oversight of critical procurements to achieve project milestones and timelines.
β’ Make sure that personal, industrial, and nuclear safety is a fundamental component of daily tasks.
β’ Foster and strengthen a robust nuclear safety culture both internally and externally by ensuring suppliers comply with quality, safety, and human performance tool expectations.
β’ Carry out material acceptance functions with specific shop visits, including initial inspections, in-process monitoring as a Supplier Quality Specialist witness at hold points, or inspection duties at the shop.
β’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field, business, management, or quality assurance area.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in a nuclear (NRC, DOE) Supplier Quality role.
β’ Quality Assurance experience in an NRC 10 CFR 50, Appendix B regulated setting.
β’ Solid understanding of NQA-1 requirements and a strong auditing background, with a current Lead Auditor certification preferred or the capability to attain Lead Auditor status.
β’ Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and guidelines such as ASME, ASNT, AWS, AISC, ASTM, EPRI, NEI, ISO, NEC, and IEEE is highly sought after.
