Supplier Quality Lead – Sourcing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Identify and source suppliers for edge hardware, displays, sensors, enclosures, wiring, PCBs, connectivity modules, and associated hardware components.

• Locate and evaluate dependable suppliers in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and the Greater Bay Area.

• Oversee samples, quotations, lead times, MOQ discussions, supplier assessments, and alternative components.

• Assist in the creation of BOM, cost reduction strategies, and provide DFM feedback.

• Visit factories and suppliers as necessary.

• Facilitate communication between suppliers and engineering teams.

• Establish fundamental quality control processes for prototypes and initial production runs.

• Recognize risks related to counterfeit products, reliability, certification, and supply chain.

• Aid in packaging, shipping, logistics, inspection, and planning for spare parts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, supplier quality, electronics manufacturing, hardware operations, manufacturing QA, or supply chain management.

• Direct experience with electronics, PCBA, edge devices, displays, sensors, enclosures, wiring, industrial components, or hardware assemblies.

• Strong supplier network or sourcing expertise in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, or the Greater Bay Area.

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is essential.

• Proficiency in professional English is required.

• Capability to inspect samples, evaluate suppliers, comprehend technical requirements, and communicate risks effectively.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-through skills.

• Experience with vending machines, kiosks, payment terminals, POS hardware, retail automation, IoT devices, robotics hardware, or industrial electronics.

• Familiarity with DFM, EVT/DVT/PVT, factory audits, QC plans, inspection checklists, or production ramp-up processes.

• Experience sourcing for startups or early-stage hardware products.

• Knowledge of international shipping, export documentation, and logistics.
