This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.
• Lead the NDT/NDE initiatives for the regional Material Ship Direct and Balance of Plant Supplier Quality team.
• Create, review, approve, and execute NDT/NDE procedures and techniques.
• Enhance team capabilities by identifying skill deficiencies and mentoring Level I and II NDT personnel.
• Oversee supplier qualification and quality inspections throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Manage supplier onboarding, audits, qualifications, Factory Acceptance Tests, Pre-Shipment Inspections, surveillance audits, and final shipment release approvals.
• Spearhead systematic problem-solving efforts at top non-compliant suppliers.
• Investigate nonconformities and conduct Root Cause Analysis and Root Cause Investigations.
• Handle Supplier Deviation Requests and Non-Conformance Reports.
• Enforce corrective and preventive actions.
• Evaluate supplier NDT systems in accordance with GE Vernova, ASME, AWS, ASTM, ISO, and ASNT standards.
• Prepare Quality Documentation, Quality Control Plans, and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Assist suppliers in maintaining effective Process Failure Mode & Effects Analyses.
• Support regional NDT audit initiatives and lessons-learned frameworks.
• Standardize work processes across regions and commodities.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, and Project Quality teams.
• Provide technical insights for tender evaluations and the onboarding of new suppliers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials, or Quality Engineering, or equivalent professional experience in a related engineering field.
• ASNT Level III or ISO 9712 Level III certification in relevant NDT methods.
• Preferred to have at least 2 Level III methods.
• Extensive experience in the development and approval of NDT procedures, personnel qualification, supplier auditing, and technical assessments.
• Strong familiarity with ASME Section V, Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, B31.1, AWS D1.1, ASTM, and ISO standards.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50% of the working time, primarily within the APAC region.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in a complex, multi-site, global manufacturing organization is preferred.
• Background in supplier quality within Power or heavy industrial manufacturing settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with FMEA, 8D, and problem-solving methodologies is preferred.
