Supplier Quality Engineering Manager – Material Ship Direct, Balance of Plant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Take charge of NDT/NDE leadership for the regional Material Ship Direct and Balance of Plant Supplier Quality team.

• Create, assess, authorize, and execute NDT/NDE procedures and methodologies.

• Enhance team capabilities by identifying skill deficiencies and mentoring Level I and II NDT personnel.

• Propel supplier qualification and quality inspection throughout the entire product lifecycle.

• Oversee supplier onboarding, audits, qualifications, FAT, PSI, surveillance audits, and final shipment release approvals.

• Examine supplier nonconformities and perform root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause investigation (RCI).

• Manage Supplier Deviation Requests and Non-Conformance Reports efficiently.

• Enforce corrective and preventive measures.

• Evaluate supplier NDT systems in accordance with GE Vernova, ASME, AWS, ASTM, ISO, and ASNT standards.

• Generate quality documentation, Quality Control Plans (QCPs), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

• Assist suppliers in sustaining effective Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs).

• Design regional NDT audit programs and frameworks for lessons learned.

• Standardize work processes across various regions and commodities.

• Collaborate closely with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, and Project Quality teams.

• Offer technical insights for tender evaluations and the addition of new suppliers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials, Quality Engineering, or equivalent professional experience in a related engineering field.

• ASNT Level III or ISO 9712 Level III certification in relevant NDT methods.

• Preferred minimum of Level III certification in 2 NDT methods: MT, PT, UT, RT, and VT.

• Extensive experience in developing and approving NDT procedures, qualifying personnel, auditing suppliers, and conducting technical evaluations.

• Strong familiarity with ASME Section V, Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, B31.1, AWS D1.1, ASTM, and ISO standards.

• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50% of working time, mainly within the APAC region.

• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Experience in complex, multi-site, global manufacturing organizations is preferred.

• Background in supplier quality within power or heavy industrial manufacturing environments is preferred.

• Proficiency with FMEA, 8D, and problem-solving methodologies is preferred.
