Supplier Performance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead recovery initiatives with suppliers during delivery issues: ensure executive involvement at supplier sites, develop and monitor effective recovery strategies, prioritize essential components, and escalate matters to internal stakeholders (Purchasing, Programs, Supply Chain, Site Leadership) and clients as necessary.

• Perform comprehensive assessments of suppliers (process capability, capacity, quality systems, risk) for both new and existing sources; prioritize based on program significance.

• Promote root-cause corrective actions and enhance processes at suppliers; conduct Kaizen events, VA/VE workshops, and provide training in advanced problem-solving methodologies (8D, A3, etc.).

• Recognize bottlenecks, optimize logistics parameters (lead times, MOQ, packaging), and execute solutions that directly enhance on-time delivery and mitigate risk.

• Assist in the development and standardization of departmental tools, metrics, and reporting to improve visibility and efficiency.

• Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Procurement, and Program teams to proactively address issues before they affect production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an engineering or technical field).

• At least 5 years of practical experience within manufacturing settings at suppliers (aerospace, automotive, or complex assembly preferred).

• Demonstrated success in enhancing supplier performance (quality, delivery, capacity) in high-stakes, regulated sectors.

• Willingness and capability to travel more than 60% (including international; valid passport is necessary).

• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, composites, assembly, inspection) and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, RCCA, APQP/PPAP).

• Proven ability to manage crises effectively under tight schedules.

• Outstanding communication and influencing skills – capable of engaging supplier executives and internal leadership decisively.
