Supplier Development Engineer – Casting, Forging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct advanced manufacturing operations for the external casting and forging supply chain.

• Formulate and execute advanced manufacturing strategies.

• Enhance manufacturing processes and introduce innovative technologies.

• Lead interdisciplinary teams.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity, enhance product quality, and improve cost efficiency.

• Cultivate employee development, recruit talent, identify and nurture successors, promote retention and engagement, and encourage an inclusive culture.

• Report directly to the Director of Supplier Development Engineering.

• Travel required: 50% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

• 3+ years of experience in casting manufacturing.

• Significant experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization.

• Profound knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing.

• Demonstrated history of driving operational excellence and implementing process improvements.

• Outstanding leadership and people management capabilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work efficiently within cross-functional teams.

• Experience with various casting techniques, including investment casting, sand casting, single crystal, directionally solidified, equiaxed, ceramic core, permanent mold, and Inconel.

• In-depth understanding of investment casting and related manufacturing processes.

• Must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or individual with protected asylum or refugee status.

• Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

• 10+ years of casting manufacturing experience, with a focus on Tier 1 or 2 aerospace/industrial gas turbine/automotive supply chain experience, advanced manufacturing expertise, project management, industry best practices knowledge, and mentoring skills are preferred qualifications.

• A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.

• 50% travel required.
