Supplier Development Consultant II – Sourcing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Assist management in establishing guidelines and leading the mapping and prospecting processes for suppliers of production inputs for new products and second-source opportunities, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards while aligning with the company's requirements.

• Oversee the routine activities in the area and their execution, pinpoint process enhancement opportunities that contribute value to projects and to Libbs, and propose and implement necessary modifications, including updates to RACI matrices.

• Direct and challenge the multidisciplinary risk assessment to identify manufacturers and/or suppliers, and uncover negotiation opportunities to secure optimal outcomes for Libbs while fostering long-term partnerships for newly developed items.

• Create and implement monitoring processes for the life cycle of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) that are in development and production, anticipating potential supply-chain risks and executing mitigation strategies such as incorporating a second source, whether through internal manufacturing or an external supplier.

• Recognize, evaluate, and prepare mitigation strategies for potential risks in the supply chain for the projects under your oversight.

• Participate in technical and commercial visits with strategic suppliers (both national and international), and engage in trade shows and similar events to cultivate long-term commercial partnerships.

• Enhance communication between internal teams and external partners or suppliers, and disseminate guidelines for supplier development processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Previous experience in regulated markets, ideally within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or food industries.

• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Previous experience in negotiation and strategic sourcing.

• Experience in supplier development and working within regulated environments.

• Familiarity with project management and building partnerships.
