
EMEA Fleet Sourcing Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take ownership of and direct the regional fleet sourcing strategy for EMEA, ensuring it aligns with global category strategy, business priorities, and enterprise risk appetite.
• Create multi-year sourcing roadmaps that achieve cost efficiency, supplier resilience, policy compliance, and service excellence.
• Guide strategic decisions regarding fleet lease structures, car policies, supplier models, and procurement methodologies.
• Establish and oversee regional sourcing governance, standards, and decision-making frameworks for fleet-related expenditures.
• Direct the selection, management, and performance evaluation of Fleet Management Companies, OEMs, leasing providers, upfitters, and other fleet service partners.
• Negotiate and oversee regional MSAs, MLAs, and commercial frameworks that safeguard the business and facilitate scalable execution.
• Cultivate strong supplier relationships while ensuring stringent performance management, commercial accountability, and adherence to service-level agreements.
• Track market trends, supplier financial stability, regulatory changes, and evolving fleet models throughout EMEA.
• Ensure fleet policies and sourcing strategies adhere to applicable labor laws, employment regulations, tax guidelines, benefits requirements, and mobility standards across various EMEA countries.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Tax, and Compliance to evaluate risk and implement controls for country-specific fleet arrangements.
• Identify and mitigate sourcing, contractual, operational, and regulatory risks associated with fleet programs in diverse jurisdictions.
• Assist in designing compliant operating models for countries with differing legal and labor frameworks, including emerging and heavily regulated markets.
• Spearhead change management initiatives linked to fleet policy redesign, supplier transitions, operating model adjustments, and regional standardization efforts.
• Encourage stakeholder acceptance of new sourcing methods, policies, and governance procedures.
• Propel transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency, streamline execution, and improve user experience while maintaining compliance.
• Lead cross-functional regional workstreams and influence senior stakeholders without direct line authority.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders on fleet strategy, policy, and market implications.
• Build consensus among diverse stakeholders with competing priorities, ensuring decisions are balanced and informed.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to sourcing project teams and regional contributors as necessary.
• Utilize extensive market knowledge of Africa, the Middle East, and Europe to customize sourcing strategies to local business, legal, and supplier contexts.
• Recognize regional variations in vehicle availability, lease markets, duty structures, mobility norms, workforce expectations, and regulatory complexities.
• Support country-level adaptations while maintaining enterprise-wide consistency and policy discipline.
• Leverage regional insights to foresee challenges and develop scalable, locally compliant solutions.
• Oversee the creation of regional analytics, dashboards, and executive reporting related to fleet expenditures, utilization, savings, compliance, supplier performance, and risk.
• Utilize data-driven insights to pinpoint savings opportunities, identify policy gaps, assess demand shifts, and uncover areas for service improvement.
• Establish KPIs and conduct business reviews to evaluate supplier and program performance.
• Convert complex data into executive-ready recommendations and decisions.
• Collaborate with Sustainability and business stakeholders to advance fleet decarbonization and electrification strategies.
• Ensure fleet sourcing decisions align with emissions reduction goals, infrastructure readiness, and regional feasibility.
• Balance sustainability goals with cost, compliance, operational feasibility, and employee experience.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, fleet management, mobility, procurement, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in leading regional or multi-country sourcing strategies throughout EMEA.
• Strong history of initiating organizational, process, and policy changes.
• Familiarity with labor laws, employment-related compliance, and contractual governance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated capability to influence senior stakeholders and achieve alignment among HR, Legal, Tax, Finance, Operations, and business leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of fleet sourcing, leasing models, supplier management, and category governance.
• Previous experience in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, able to present to senior leaders and craft clear, persuasive business recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
